The reason ‘Summer House’ star Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover have broken up
Reality TV stars DeSobro and Conover, a main cast member in ‘Southern Charm,’ have split after three years of dating.
It hasn’t been such a Merry Christmas and it might not be a terribly Happy New Year for “Summer House” cast member Paige DeSorbo and fellow reality TV star Craig Conover, who have joined celebrities couples such as Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, and Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly, in breaking up in 2024.
On the “Giggly Squad” podcast, which she hosts with castmate and comedian Hannah Berner, DeSorbo revealed on Monday she and Conover, one of the main cast members of “Southern Charm,” had brought their relationship to an end after three years of dating.
Why did Paige DeSobro and Craig Conover split up?
“I love him. I think he loves me. I think we will remain friends. No one did anything,” DeSorbo explained. “It wasn’t a bad thing. I think we both were just being really mature and saying what we want and what we didn’t want, and I think that’s extremely powerful to be able to voice how you’re feeling in real time and what you want for your future.”
The 32-year-old went on to describe the split as “weird,” “very sad” and “awkward,” particularly due to the pair’s increasing presence in the public eye as a result of their respective Bravo shows.
DeSorbo and Conover’s last few months together
Speculation has long suggested a breakup could be on the cards, with DeSorbo living in New York and Conover in Charleston, South Carolina. In a trailer for the upcoming season of “Summer House,” she added fuel to the flames by forecasting “me and Craig are gonna break up, and everything I have will, like, go away” in an emotional conversation with co-star Ciara Miller.
DeSorbo and Conover spent Thanksgiving together at her parents’ home in upstate New York only last month. Although they don’t expect to repeat next year, DeSobro has nothing but kind words for her now ex.
“He’s definitely the best boyfriend I’ve ever had. Like, I can truly say that. He was a great boyfriend, and he did everything correct, and he never made me feel insecure or anything like that, so it almost is harder when no one’s done anything to be mad about, and that’s hard.”
