The reason why Britney Spears deleted her Instagram account after posting worrying photos
Fans fear for the pop star’s wellbeing following troubling posts and a feud with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Concern for Britney Spears’ wellbeing has surged once again after the pop superstar deleted her Instagram account on November 2. The move appears to have been triggered by her ongoing public feud with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
The couple divorced in 2007, a turbulent split that saw Spears lose custody of their two sons. Soon after, she suffered a highly publicized breakdown that led to a conservatorship controlled by her father, Jamie Spears, beginning in 2008. For more than a decade, the arrangement severely limited her personal freedom and decision-making rights.
From #FreeBritney to freedom
In 2020, fans rallied to her defense through the viral #FreeBritney movement, which shed light on the restrictive and abusive conditions of the conservatorship. By November 2021, after 13 years of legal battles, Spears finally regained control of her life and finances, becoming a global symbol of resilience and survival.
But since her release, the 43-year-old singer has continued to worry fans with increasingly erratic posts on social media.
Disturbing social media behavior
In recent weeks, Spears shared multiple photos and videos of herself dancing inside her Los Angeles mansion. Many followers described the setting as “dirty,” and fans grew alarmed when they noticed her arms and hands were covered in bruises and bandages. In one post, she claimed she “fell down the stairs” at a friend’s house and said her leg “snaps out now and then” but was “snapped in for now.”
In October of last year, she posted that she had “married herself,” and two months later claimed she was celebrating her “fifth birthday” and planned to attend kindergarten the next day.
Now, with her Instagram account deleted, fans are once again questioning whether Spears is in crisis.
Kevin Federline’s tell-all adds fuel to the fire
Spears’ disappearance from social media comes just weeks after the release of Federline’s memoir, “You Thought You Knew,” which includes a series of explosive allegations against his ex-wife.
According to excerpts published in The New York Times, USA Today, and E! Online, Federline claims Spears once punched their oldest son, Preston, in the face, gave their younger son, Jayden, shellfish despite his allergy, and at one point said she wished both boys “were dead.”
Spears hits back at Federline
After the excerpts went public, Spears accused Federline of “constantly gaslighting” her in media appearances.
“Why is HE SO ANGRY,” she wrote on X. “And what’s scary is he’s convincing. It literally blows my mind the moments he stops before he cries, are you fucking serious? If you really love someone, you don’t help them by humiliating them. What scared me was how serious and angry he got. People have no idea; it’s way worse than anyone could imagine. The boy hates me, and it’s deep anger to literally say the things he is saying.”
