The reason why Jason Kelce cried at a Taylor Swift concert
On a recent episode of the ‘New Heights’ podcast, Travis Kelce’s brother revealed why he burst into tears while attending a show.
There is no doubt that Taylor Swift is the global entertainment star of the moment. Through her music and live performances, the singer from West Reading has moved many to tears, including, it has been revealed, former Philadelphia Eagles player Jason Kelce, the brother of her current partner, Travis.
What Taylor Swift did that had Jason Kelce crying
In the latest episode of the podcast ‘New Heights,’ Jason revealed that he couldn’t hold back his tears during one of Taylor’s shows in London, UK. According to the now retired NFL star, this was the first time he has ever cried at a concert. The reason? The iconic moment when Taylor hands out the black hat during her performance of ‘22′.
“Man, I’ve never cried at a damn concert, and there I was, literally crying watching this girl... I’m about to cry right now. It was fucking special,” recalled Jason Kelce, who attended ‘The Eras Tour’ with his wife, Kylie Kelce.
Jason Kelce on Taylor Swift: “She's incredible”
Taylor Swift’s concert in London will not only be remembered by Jason for that emotional moment. On the same day, the Kelce brothers also had the chance to meet Prince William, who attended the concert with his two children, George and Charlotte.
This unexpected encounter added to the special nature of the event for Jason. Meeting royalty and sharing such a significant experience with his brother Travis, along with the deeply moving performance by Taylor, made the evening unforgettable.
Throughout the podcast, Jason also took the opportunity to praise his sister-in-law, describing her as an “incredible songwriter” and calling her show an “amazingly impressive” concert.
“It was incredibly impressive,” Kelce said about attending ‘The Eras Tour.’ “Obviously, Taylor is an incredible songwriter, but then to go out and perform at that level for such a long time, like three and a half, four hours,” he added with awe.
Taylor Swift’s shows in London also stood out for another reason: Travis Kelce’s debut on stage. On the third and final night of ‘The Eras Tour’ at Wembley Stadium, the superstar surprised the audience by bringing Travis onto the stage. He joined the performance as an additional dancer while Taylor sang her hit, ‘I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.’
