Beyonce sent music fans into a frenzy when she announced her 2023 ‘Renaissance’ world tour on Wednesday, but some are already dealing with headaches while trying to secure tickets.

The global event begins with the European and UK leg of the tour, which kicks off in Sweden on May 10, before heading to North America and ending in New Orleans on September 27.

Unfortunately for some Beyonce fans, they have already had to deal with issues when it comes to securing tickets.

Ahead of tickets for the UK shows going on general sale on February 7, various UK pre-sales were listed for Thursday morning, including ones by O2 priority and Ticketmaster UK.

While some fans were lucky enough to secure tickets, others claim they were never given the chance to access the pre-sales. Many were left empty-handed, with some complaining they were kicked out of the queue and crashes.

“First the O2 priority app was down,” wrote one fan. “Now I’ve waited in an O2 Priority queue on Ticketmaster website behind 200,000 people and it still won’t let me access Beyonce tickets. Waste of time.”

O2 responded that they were aware of the issues surrounding purchasing tickets.

“We apologise to anyone experiencing difficulties trying to get Beyonce tickets through Priority. Tickets are selling and we’re seeing huge demand,” its official Twitter wrote.

Ticketmaster issues involving Taylor Swift tour

The news comes after Taylor Swift fans were unable to buy tickets for the pop superstar’s 2023 ‘Eras’ tour.

Many fans complained they waited hours, received error messages, and then had to deal with exorbitant resale prices while trying to purchase tickets.

Swift fans have since sued Ticketmaster following the issues, accusing the company and its parent company, Live Nation Entertainment, of intentional misrepresentation, fraud, price fixing and antitrust violations, among other unlawful practices, over the bungled pre-sale.

Ticketmaster ultimately cancelled the public sale of the tickets, prompting a US Senate Judiciary Committee hearing into the matter. The hearing is still ongoing.

Beyonce recently returned to the stage

In preparation of her world tour, Beyonce returned to the stage in January with an extravagant performance in front of an invite-only crowd in Dubai.

The concert was for the grand reveal of a new luxury resort, Atlantis the Royal, and lasted just over an hour.

Big names like Rebel Wilson, Kendall Jenner, Letitia Wright, Ellen Pompeo and Liam Payne were in attendance, as well as husband Jay-Z and their three children.
