Trevor Noah to host the 2025 Grammys again: Get ready for another night of laughs and music
The South African comedian returns to host the ceremony for the fifth year running and hopes he “won’t disappoint the artists you love.”

“Why do I love hosting the Grammys? Because it’s exciting, it’s different, it’s probably the best concert of the year. Where else are you gonna have the best in country, the best hip hop, the best in pop, the best in R ‘n’ B - all on the same stage, all on the same night, everyone coming together. It’s an easy one to say yes to and so I’m really honored and excited that I come do it for the fifth consecutive year”. Words from former The Daily Show presenter Trevor Noah, who will be hosting the 67th edition of the annual Grammy Awards, bringing his own brand of razor sharp wit and humor to the event.

Homage to music legend Quincy Jones
Noah promises that there will be “something different” at this year’s ceremony. “We’ve got a little surprise in how everything’s going to come together. We’re doing something different this year, something special. I think that’s what’s really going to set it apart,” he explained.
“On a sad but also beautiful note, there’s also celebrating Quincy Jones and everything he made and gave to music. Seeing everybody come on stage, performing and celebrating the life and the legend that that man lived, that’s really special - those are the moments that make the Grammys I think”.

Who is Trevor Noah?
Born on 20 February 1984 in Johannesburg, South Africa, Noah has overcome numerous obstacles to become one of the most recognisable faces in comedy today. Comedian, writer, producer, political commentator, his charm, intelligence and empathy ooze out every time he takes to the screen or is involved in a project. And if you can make it to the end of any of his comedy gigs without tears in your eyes then you need to go see a doctor.
Growing up during apartheid, Noah faced discrimination and poverty. His mother, a black woman, was imprisoned for having a relationship with a white man, Trevor’s father. This taboo relationship also put young Noah’s life in danger, as interracial relationships were illegal during apartheid. Despite these challenges, he discovered a love for comedy at a young age, using humour to escape the hardships of his childhood.
Noah’s big break in comedy
In 2006, Noah’s big break came when he was selected to participate in the Johannesburg International Comedy Festival. His performance was a hit, and he quickly became one of South Africa’s most popular comedians. In 2010, he was invited to perform on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, marking his US debut.
Noah’s success continued to grow, and in 2015 he was selected to replace Jon Stewart - who this month returned to the role - as the host of satirical news program The Daily Show. Noah has used his platform to address political and social issues, including race, gender, and inequality. He has also interviewed numerous influential figures, including former US President Barack Obama - check out his impression and story of when he met him - as well as pop star Beyoncé.
