The 2023 Grammy Awards paid a touching tribute to several fallen musicians from this year.

The artists honored included Lisa Marie Presley, Takeoff, Stephen “tWitch Boss, and Olivia Newton John.

In total the award ceremony paid tribute to about three dozen artists who passed away recently. However, there were also several names missing from the list.

Some of the names left out of the Memorium were Gangster Boo, Lil Keed, and Traci Braxton. The lack of inclusion of recently passed away artists upset various fans watching live.

However, fans of Gangster Boo have theorized that maybe her name will be honored in next year’s Grammy Awards as her passing took place in early January 2023. This year’s Grammy Awards primarily honored those who had passed throughout 2022.

Fans of Aaron Carter were particularly upset, as it was reported that his name was included in the printed material but not shown on screen during the live performance.

Aaron Carter’s legacy

Aaron Carter is best known for his teen pop albums ‘Aaron’s Party (Come Get It) and ‘Oh Aaron.’ His career spanned from 1997 to 2022, with a successful music and acting career.

Although Carter has never won or been nominated for a Grammy Award, he had a substantial following given his career began when his first album was released at nine years old.

Carter released five studio albums, had several successful solo tours and performed as the opening act for Britney Spears and The Backstreet Boys.

He also had a successful acting career, making appearances on several early 2000s teen shows including ‘Lizzie McGuire’, ‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch’, and Nickelodeon’s ‘Rocket Power’.

The teen idol passed away on November 5, 2022. He was found dead in his California home with original reports of an accidental drowning.

Carter’s family claims he suffered a drug overdose. However, as of January 2023, the official toxicology report has yet to be reported.

Carter leaves behind a one-year-old son, who is in the custody of his fiancé Melanie Martin after being in the care of the late singer’s mother for several months after his passing.
