Today, designer Victoria Beckham is celebrating her 50th birthday. The former Spice Girl looked back on her life as she reaches a personal milestone.
Today, April 17, Victoria Beckham is celebrating her 50th birthday. She reaches a personal milestone with a career as a pop star behind her, in addition to having become a fashion designer, businesswoman, wife and mother of four children.
New chapter begins
As she celebrates her big day, the former Spice Girl took to Instagram to share a reflection on her past, present, and the positive attitude she has for the beginning of this new chapter.
“My passion has always been to dream big”
The designer expressed how “blessed” and “fulfilled” she feels at reaching 50 after achieving several achievements and fulfilling her goal of “empowering women.”
“As I get ready to step into 50 (in heels, of course!), I feel so incredibly blessed to have reached this milestone. Blessed, but also accomplished and deeply content. Not just of where I am as a woman, but of how far my fashion and beauty brands have come. My ambition was always to empower women and make them feel like the best version of themselves. To me, that meant trusting my instinct and never compromising on my creative vision,” Victoria wrote in a message on Instagram.
“I believe that you can be many things. A pop star, a mother, a wife, a designer… My passion has always been to dream big, then dream even bigger! Believe in yourself first — everyone else will follow. And if you’re really lucky, you’ll find someone who believes in you even more than you do,” she added.
Victoria thanks her family and toasts the future
She also took a moment to thank her husband for his unconditional support and for their four children. “I’m forever grateful for your unconditional love and support, and for our beautiful children. Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper… You complete me. I’m so proud, so in awe of the kind, hard-working, talented individuals you are all becoming,” she continued.
As for the future, she concluded. “So, here’s to doing more of what I love with the people I love. I’m so thankful for my family, my friends, and my incredible team! This is the beginning of an exciting new chapter, and I’m only just getting started”.
And on the big day itself, there were two more posts - one featuring a video compilation of moments through her life, another with a childhood photo, ice lolly in hand, captioned: “Family is everything… I wouldn’t be who I am today without my beautiful husband, wonderful children and parents!!”
