Vin Diesel is accused of sexual battery by his former assistant, Asta Jonasson. According to legal documents obtained by Vanity Fair, the complaint has been filed in a court in Los Angeles, California. Jonasson accuses the Fast & Furious actor sexually assaulted her while she was working for him in 2010.

According to the victim’s testimony, the events occurred during the filming of Fast Five. At that time, Jonasson, was hired by the actor’s company, One Race, to organise parties and accompany Diesel at them as well as making sure that he did not have women nearby when they took photographs of him.

According to the lawsuit, the attack occurred in September 2010, at the St. Regis hotel. Diesel and Jonasson were left alone for a moment in a suite and the actor is accused of “grabbing Mrs. Jonasson’s wrists, one with each of his hands, and led her to the bed.” The woman managed to escape. and went to the main door of the suite, but Diesel caught up with her and began to kiss her and touch her inappropriately, against her will.

“Vin Diesel dropped to his knees, pushed Ms. Jonasson’s dress up toward her waist, and molested her body, running his hands over Ms. Jonasson’s upper legs, including her inner thighs,” reads the complaint obtained by Vanity Fair. “Terrified, Ms. Jonasson closed her eyes, trying to dissociate from the sexual assault and avoid angering him.”

Jonasson was fired after the attack

Hours after the attack, Jonasson claims that Samantha Vincent, Diesel’s sister, called her to fire her. “It was clear to her that she was being fired because she was no longer useful—Vin Diesel had used her to fulfill his sexual desires and she had resisted his sexual assaults.”

In addition to sexual assault, the woman also accuses Diesel of “discrimination based on sex/gender, intentional infliction of emotional distress, hostile work environment, wrongful termination and retaliation.”

According to Jonasson, she had refused to file a complaint due to a confidentiality agreement that she signed when she started working at the actor’s company. However, with the approval of the Speak Out Law. This Act of Congress prevents the enforcement of non-disclosure agreements in instances of sexual assault and harassment.

Neither Vin Diesel nor his production company have publicly commented on the accusations against him.
