Taylor Swift recently changed up her setlist during a stop in Arlington, Texas.
Following news that Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn are no longer a couple, some are wondering if the singer was hinting at a split with a recent ‘Eras Tour’ setlist change.
Swift is currently in the midst of her wildly successful ‘Eras Tour’, which kicked off at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on March 17.

She’s since performed in Las Vegas, but it’s her most recent stop at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas that may have hinted at her breakup with Alwyn.
That’s when Swift changed up the ‘Folklore’ inspired section of her setlist, swapping out ‘Invisible String’ for ‘The 1′ for all three nights.
‘The 1′ is the opening song from the 2020 album and is written from the perspective of one of Swift’s friends.
In it, the narrator looks at life and past romances with a newborn positive approach, albeit in a sad but humorous tone via several one-liners.
The song received widespread acclaim following its release due to its minimal production and witty lyrics.
Fans were quick to point out the change on social media following news of their split, with one user writing, “Is this why she switched invisible string for the 1?”
Another wrote: “THINKING ABOUT HOW SHE SWITCHED OUT INVISIBLE STRING FOR THE 1….”
“When she started playing ‘The 1′ instead of ‘Invisible String’ I knew,” added another.
Swift and Alwyn’s split
Reports on Saturday began to swirl stating Swift and Alwyn have broken up after a six-year-long relationship.
According to Entertainment Tonight, the pair called off their relationship a few weeks ago. The split was said to be amicable, as the relationship had simply run its course.
This comes after it was recently reported that Alwyn would be joining Swift on her ‘Eras Tour’ when his schedule would allow for it.
It also comes amidst reports Swift has flown to Liverpool to film a new music video.
The couple are said to have first met at the 2016 Met Gala, though it wasn’t until May 2017 that rumours of a relationship began to swirl.
Over the next six years the couple would keep their relationship out of the public eye, though they have been spotted in public on several occasions.
