What will be the song of the summer? Predicting the tune that will rise above the rest in the summertime months is tricky but Spotify’s editors have had a go with their 30-track Songs of Summer playlist.
These musical experts have drawn together a list of 30 tunes that, they believe, will be in contention to be crowned ‘Song of Summer 2024′. Take a look at the full list below and pray that you don’t hate any of the songs; you may be hearing them a lot in the coming months...

Sabrina Carpenter, Shaboozey and Kendrick Lamar battle it out
Included in Spotify’s summertime list are a few songs that have been competing at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart in recent weeks. Sabrina Carpenter shot into the public consciousness this year with the release of her single “Espresso”; the track reached No. 4 in the United States and topped the charts in the United Kingdom.
Singer-songwriter Shaboozey has also enjoyed chart success in recent weeks with “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” reaching No. 3 in the US. Another, more established, name included in the Spotify playlist is Kendrick Lamar, fresh from a sprawling rap beef with Drake. Kendrick’s “Not Like Us” topped the charts and is in the running for song of the summer.
Announcing the 30-song list, the streaming giant said: “Our crystal ball was clear with last year’s Songs of Summer predictions, featuring bangers like Taylor Swift’s “Cruel Summer,” “WHERE SHE GOES” by Bad Bunny, and “Ella Baila Sola,” by Eslabon Armado and Peso Pluma. Once again, our Spotify Editorial team have surveyed the music landscape and delivered their predictions for the songs that will define summer 2024.”
