What do we know about Moon Music, the new Coldplay studio album?

The band’s tenth studio release is earmarked for a 4 October release date via Parlophone.

Live Nation

British rockers Coldplay are currently riding high with new single “feelslikeimfallinginlove” being well received by critics and fans alike and with the news that the third European leg of their world tour, Music of the Spheres, has seen the Chris Martin fronted group top a prestigious ranking.

Billboard report that the band’s current tour has grossed a total of $945.7 million and sold 8.8 million tickets since its launch in March 2022, figures that make this tour the highest-grossing in rock history since the specialist portal started compiling data.

Their tour eclipses Elton John’s “Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour” (2018-2023) which generated $939.1 million but the band’s sting at the top of the tree with Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour set to pulverize existing records when it concludes later this year.

Moon Music on the horizon

Coldplay fans can look forward to the band’s tenth studio offering with the album slated for a 4 October release. The band confirmed outline details of the release in June and on 16 August confirmed the ten tracks that compose the record.

Moon Music will be released in a number of formats and in addition to the traditional digital release, a pink vinyl ecopack version will also be available along a special CD edition housed in a eco notebook packaging and the other in a standard ecopack. A LP/CD pack will also be released.

Limited edition signed versions of the album that were exclusively available via the band’s official website have already sold out!
