THE BACHELOR
What happened on ‘The Bachelor’ finale last night and why is it not on Hulu?
In Monday night’s final episode of ‘The Bachelor’ season 28, 28-year-old tennis coach Joe Graziadei chose between Kelsey Anderson and Daisy Kent.
In an emotional finale to season 28 of The Bachelor, it was Kelsey Anderson who became Joey Graziadei’s fiancée on Monday night. “I can’t wait another minute to tell you that I love you,” Graziadei declared as he proposed to the 25-year-old Lousianian.
Graziadei, a 28-year-old coaching tennis pro from Royersford, Pennsylvania, got down on one knee for Anderson after her final competitor, Daisy Kent, opted to quit the contest before being eliminated. “The thing is - you’re not going to choose me,” Kent told Graziadei as she made her exit.
“Nothing difficult about choosing you,” Joey tells Kelsey
“Kelsey, we have had the experience of a lifetime,” Graziadei said as he told Anderson that she had won his heart. “I think back on how proud we should be, and how strong a connection we’ve felt in such a short period of time. I knew early on that there was something different about you, and I just wanted to learn more. Everything we do, we just enjoy each other.”
He added: “I know there’s a lot of tough decisions through this journey. And that’s what makes tonight really difficult. But there is nothing difficult about choosing you. And I can’t wait another minute to tell you that I love you.
“There is something about you: you have this infectious energy that makes me smile. It’s a feeling I’ve never had before. I know during this time that we’ve built a very strong flame. And the only reason I know that flame will never go out is because you’re in my life.
“I’ve known for a while that I wanted to have a beautiful life, but I truly didn’t know how beautiful that life could be until I met you.”
Not choosing you “hurts so much” - Joey to Daisy
Earlier, a tearful Graziadei had told Daisy: “Just please know that this has been unbelievable for me to be able to see you, to get to know you, and it hurts so much that I know I have something more special with someone else.”
He continued: “This has been the hardest thing that I’ve ever had to do, because I know how much I’ll miss you. You are one of a kind, truly special. I know you deserve nothing but the best, and I really wish I was able to give it to you.”
Hulu viewers complain that finale unavailable
The Bachelor, which airs on the TV network ABC every Monday, is normally available on demand on the streaming service Hulu early the following day. However, fans of the show have been complaining this morning that the finale is yet to appear on the platform.
Per Decider, ABC says Monday night’s finale will be uploaded onto Hulu today.
Decider’s report notes that the delay is likely due to the fact that the season’s final episode includes a studio-audience event that is taped live, whereas all other instalments are pre-recorded.
