George Clooney and Brad Pitt will reunite for the second time this year in upcoming thriller “Wolfs,” an Apple Studios production which will be released in September.

What was Clooney and Pitt’s last movie together?

The Hollywood A-listers have, of course, teamed up on a number of occasions in the past, most famously in the “Ocean’s” franchise. After 16 years of doing their own things, they both play voice roles animated fantasy comedy “IF” (which came out on 17 May) but are now set to appear on screen together for the first time since 2008 black comedy “Burn After Reading”.

“Wolfs”: plot, teaser, and release date

Although most of the details of the film have so far been kept under wraps, we do Clooney, 61, and Pitt, 59, will be playing lone wolf fixers who are assigned to the same job, which suggests there is likely to be some friction between their respective characters.

In January last year, the actors, who are long-time friends, were photographed filming night scenes for the movie in New York, which included their characters chasing co-star Austin Abrams’ character through the streets in a car, driven by Clooney.

The teaser trailer, released on Tuesday, doesn’t give much away either, with the duo sitting alongside one another silently in the front of what we must assume if Clooney’s character’s vehicle.

The pair are also co-producers of “Wolfs,” which has been written and produced by Jon Watts, best known for his work on three “Spider-Man” films. “The Wire” and “The Office” star Amy Ryan, as well as Poorna Jagannathan of HBO series “The Night Of,” play the leading female roles.

Back in 2021, it was revealed that Apple Original Films had fought off bids from a whole host of competitors, including Sony, Netflix, Universal and Warner Bros., to produce the movie, which is set to be released in theaters on 20 September 2024.
