What other surprise songs did Swift perform in Philadelphia?

On night one in Philadelphia, Swift performed ‘Gold Rush’ from her 2020 album ‘Evermore’.

“I wanted to start out with this one in Philly because there was sort of a — I don’t know how large the debate was, but I did see the debate,” Swift said, referencing the “Eagles T-shirt hanging from the door” lyrics in the song.

“I saw some people wondering if it was the band the Eagles or the team the Eagles. And I love the band the Eagles, but guys, like, come on, I’m from Philly.”

She then sang ‘Come Back…Be Here’ from her 2012 album ‘Red’. According to Swift, actress Phoebe Bridgers, who was in the audience that night, requested the song.

“I take requests if they are polite and decently worded,” Swift said.

Philadelphia honors Swift

Many cities have honored Swift’s arrival with some sort of tribute to the singer, and Philadelphia was no exception.

On Friday, a mural was unveiled on South Street. The mural was created by New Jersey artist Emily Kelley, who proposed the idea on TikTok.

“Who do I have to talk to in the City of Philadelphia to get a mural painted for Taylor?” Kelley said in the video, which now has over 29,000 views.

“For every stop on the ‘Eras’ tour, I’ve seen small businesses and big businesses within each city to kind of do little things to commemorate her time playing there.”
