What time does the next episode of ‘The House of the Dragon’ air on HBO Max?
Episode 3 of the second season of ‘House of the Dragon’ will air tonight. When will it be available on HBO Max?
The highly anticipated second season of ‘House of the Dragon,’ a prequel to ‘Game of Thrones,’ premiered two weeks ago, and tonight, fans will be able to view the third episode of the season. There will be some spoilers in this article, so proceed with caution if you have yet to watch the first or second episode of the second season.
HBO has confirmed that instead of ten episodes like the first season, the second season of House of the Dragon will only feature eight episodes. This means we will be halfway done with this capsule of episodes next week as the brewing civil war between the Targaryens heats up. The show’s producers also noted that we would see more from House Stark up in Winterfell, and unlike the previous season, there will be no time jumps.
What time do the ‘The House of the Dragon’ episodes premiere?
HBO has kept ‘House of the Dragon’ in the same time slot: Sunday at 9 pm ET or 6 pm PT for those on the West Coast. The show can be viewed on the HBO channel or stream it on MAX.
Episodes with extremely fitting titles
Currently, only the titles of three episodes are known, and they are quite revealing. As those who tuned in for the first episode will know, “A Son for a Son” is a great name to explain the drama unfolding in the season premier. The episode centered around Daemon seeking vengeance for the death of Lucerys, Rhaenyra’s son, who was killed by Aemond Targaryen (Alicent’s second son) at the end of the first season. The second episode, titled ‘Rhaenyra the Cruel’ followed the aftermath of the killed of King Aegon’s son Prince Jaehaerys Targaryen, who was only six years old. The Blacks capitalize on the killing to try and convince the smallfolk that Rhaenyra is a cruel and devilish woman. However, much of this sympathy is lost after King Aegon kills every rat catcher under the crown’s employ and chooses to hang their bodies outside the castle door.
While the title of tonight’s episode is still unknown, we know that next week’s has been named ‘Dance of Dragons’, alluding to the first military confrontation between the two factions. This term is used in the history books of the Seven Kingdoms to refer to the Targaryen civil war. This conflict profoundly impacted Westeros and will compel us to take sides between the Greens and the Blacks.
