What to do if your TV is too old to watch Netflix? Tips and solutions
With a wealth of new releases planned for the Fall, Netflix fans will not want to miss out due to a lack of compatibility win an old TV.
Should Netflix fans come across the message: “this device is not compatible with Netflix”, there may be a solution rather than opting to spend and upgrade to a new television set.
Initial solutions for users would be software updates and ensuring that the internet connectivity reaches a minimum of 20Mbs.
If you your television set states the app is no longer supported Netflix, then it’s possible that (and this applies to older sets) that the streaming service has stopped updating the app for your particular TV and should this be the case, the only way to watch Netflix again via your set is to use the likes of a casting device such as Google’s Chromecast, Amazon Fire Stick, Roku streaming device and plug it into your HDMI port on your television.
Should you feel it’s time for an upgrade, the majority of modern smart TVs come with the Netflix app pre-installed or the ability to download it from an app store.
