As expected, ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ had a great premiere, raking in $96 million during its first day on the big screen in the United States alone, making it the sixth highest-grossing R-rated film. When accounting for international box offices, the movie grossed more than $115 million, for a grand total of $211,100,000 just on opening day.

Without a doubt, the film starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, combined with great cameos from other Marvel characters, was a winning formula to attract audiences to the theater. With this, the film has recouped its production budget, estimated at around $200 million, but still has to add needed to generate around $100 million to cover the film’s marketing expenses.

That won't be a difficult task, though. Thanks to the first-day results, it's expected to surpass the $350 million mark once the weekend is over.
