‘This Is Me...Now: A Love Story’ gets a global release on 16 February via Amazon Prime. The film comes as part of a three-pronged package with Lopez set to release her new 13-track studio album of the same name also on the Friday. To the delight of JLo fans nationwide too, the Bronx born singer and actress also confirmed an extensive US tour that kicks off in June in Orlando and winds up on 31 August in Texas.

The Amazon Prime movie of the same name, is a semi-autobiographical film reported to see Lopez explore her experiences of love and relationships in her new movie.

The film premiered in Hollywood on Tuesday, where the singer and actress walked the red carpet with her husband, actor-director Ben Affleck and delves into her love life and the nature of relationships, including with herself, through the characters in her self-penned drama and is an elaborate high-budget production.

This is Me...Now: movie budget

According to a Variety interview, the album, film and an accompanying documentary cost Lopez $20 million in total to produce. Once it was done, Amazon then purchased the project.

“We went in over budget. It was a challenging project in that way. It’s like there could have never been enough money for the project,” Lopez told The Hollywood Reporter. “We didn’t have endless funds from a studio. This was a very independent project that I was self-financing. So it was very challenging from a production point of view.”

Many of the singer’s tracks from the new studio album of the same name also surface during the film which in total clocks in at just under 45 minutes.

Who appears in This Is Me...Now: A Love Story?

Despite Lopez being the clear protagonist of the film which she self financed, wrote and produced, there are several high profile cameos from the world of music and film as the likes of Post Malone, Trevor Noah, Keke Palmer, Derek Hough, Kim Petras, Sofía Vergara, Jane Fonda, Jay Shetty, Fat Joe, Sadhguru, Tony Bellissimo, Trevor Jackson, Paul Raci, Bella Gagliano, Brandon Delsid, Ashley Versher, Malcolm Kelner, Alix Angelis, Danielle Larracuente, Matthew Law, Neil DeGrasse Tyson, and partner Ben Affleck all appear in the film as well.
