When can fans expect Jordan Peele’s next movie?

Jordan Peele fans will have to wait some time before they see the latest movie from the famed director, though they now know a date.

When will Jordan Peele’s next movie be released?

Peele’s next movie will hit the big screen just in time for Christmas in 2024.

This comes after Universal Pictures, which released Peele’s previous films - ‘Get Out’, ‘Us’ and ‘Nope’ - added an untitled fourth film from the director to its release calendar.

This means the film, which is slated to hit theatres on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, will be released five days after James Cameron’s ‘Avatar 3′ and ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 3′.

Unfortunately for fans, that’s about all we know about Peele’s upcoming project.

There’s been no information when it comes to the title, genre or who will be starring in the film as of yet.

What is certain is that 2024 is shaping up to be a busy year for Peele. His Monkeypaw production company will also release another horror/thriller on September 27, though no details were revealed about that project either.

Peele made directorial debut in 2017

After working on ‘Mad TV’, Peele left the show and teamed up with frequent collaborator Keegan-Michael Key.

The duo created and starred in their own sketch comedy series, ‘Key & Peele’, which ran from 2012 to 2015 to critical acclaim.

From there, Peele began to direct films. His debut feature came in the 2017 psychological horror film ‘Get Out’, which grossed over $255 million and earned four Oscar nominations.

Peele said that people have asked him about a possible sequel to the film during a July 2022 interview with the Associated Press, adding that “there’s certainly a lot to talk about left.”

He followed that up with ‘Us’ in 2019, which also took in $255 million worldwide. His latest movie, ‘Nope’, was released in 2022 and earned over $270 million worldwide.

“I feel like I’m off to the races. I just don’t know if I could limit how many films I have that are me,” Peele added. “I’m starting to lose sight of what I would be doing if I wasn’t doing movies like this. So I would say the project has extended.”
