Miss Teen USA has been crowned, and now the 73rd annual Miss USA beauty pageant will be held this weekend. Here’s how to watch the event.
Miss Teen USA was crowned on Thursday, Aug. 1, and now it’s the turn of contestants of the 73rd edition of the Miss USA beauty pageant to vie for the title.
After a controversy-filled year where the winner of the 2023 contest Noella Voigt resigned, the annual Miss USA competition will be held on Sunday, Aug. 4. Last year’s first runner-up, Savannah Gankiewicz of Hawaii took Voigt’s place, and will be the one to crown Miss USA 2024.
The finals of the Miss USA pageant will be held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California.

The Miss USA 2024 competition will take place at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on Sunday, Aug. 4, and will be aired on The CW. You can stream the event live on the official YouTube channel of Miss USA.

Miss USA and Miss Teen USA winners resign for the first time
Pageant organizers had their hands full the past year as both the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA winners stepped down, the first time it has ever happened in the history of the organization. Voigt gave up her title in May this year, making the announcement on social media. She cited mental health reasons to explain her decision.
Days after Voigt’s statement, the winner of Miss Teen USA 2023 UmaSofia Srivastava also relinquished her crown, saying her personal values were in conflict with those of the Miss USA organization.
The 2024 edition is also likely to generate a lot of buzz, especially among conservatives, with the participation of Bailey Anne Kennedy, the first transgender woman to win the title of Miss Maryland, and the oldest woman to do so.
