Where is Georgina from? Cristiano Ronaldo’s long-time girlfriend’s humble beginnings
Cristiano Ronaldo’s partner is back on our screens with the release of the third series of her Netflix show “I Am Georgina”.
After the success of the Netflix documentary series ‘I Am Georgina’ which made the Top 10 in more than 60 nations, Georgina Rodriguez returns with another instalment of the reality TV show.
The third season of ‘I Am Georgina’ was released on September 18, following the high profile influencer travel the world and offering insight to her life as a mother. Episodes in the latest season cover her move to Saudi capital Riyadh.
Rodriguez’s family and children play a central role in the series as does partner, soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo who met the former Gucci store assistant back in 2016 when he played for Real Madrid.
Is Georgina Argentine or Spanish?
The 29-year-old was born in Buenos Aires to a Spanish-Argentine father and a Spanish mother originally from Murcia. Her family, including an older sister named Ivana, lived with her paternal relatives. When Rodriguez was just one year old, her mother decided she wanted to return to Spain, and the family moved to the northern Spanish city of Jaca in Huesca.
Despite not having been born in Spain, Georgina considers Jaca as ‘home’ and feels a citizen of the world first, then Spanish second, Argentinian third and Portuguese last.
Dance was her passion as a child and she became a member of the Joven Ballet del Pirineo. After finishing second level education, she moved to Bristol in the UK where she worked as a nanny.
Upon returning to Spain in 2016, she worked as a sales assistant in a Gucci store in Madrid, where she met Cristiano Ronaldo. She later left Gucci and began working in the Prada section in Spanish department store El Corte Inglés.
