Which Miley Cyrus song did Selena Gomez use in Instagram caption?
“Violet chemistry,” Gomez captioned the post. It references Miley Cyrus’ song from her recently released album, ‘Endless Summer Vacation’.
Gomez tagged the pop star as well, with Cyrus responding with a red heart emoji to the post, which hit a million likes in just eight minutes.
“Stay awhile, don’t deny the violet chemistry / Stay awhile, stay awhile with me / Stay awhile, put your arms around me,” Cyrus sings in the song, which is the eight track on the new album.
The duo have been close for years, as they both began their careers on the Disney Channel. Miley starred in ‘Hannah Montana’, a show on which Gomez played the reoccurring character Mikayla, while Selena starred in ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’.
Gomez and social media
The post comes after Gomez announced she was taking a social media break following some online drama with Hailey Bieber, who is married to Justin Bieber.
Since then, Gomez has posted pictures of her spending time with her family as they enjoyed some fishing.
The singer was joined by her sister Gracie and stepdad Brian, and posted that she was going back to her roots.
“Texas girl at heart. Cali girl for fun and NY gal for the real,” she captioned the post. “Grateful, thankful and blessed lady!”
In one of the photos, Gomez and her sister are proudly holding up a pair of fish, while in another they are seen hugging on the water.
She also recently came clean about how much negative comments on social media actually affected her while speaking on the AppleTV+ docuseries ‘Dear...’.
“I lied. I would go online and I would post a picture and I would say, ‘It doesn’t matter. I’m not accepting what you’re saying,” the singer said.
“I was posting these things saying it doesn’t bother me because I didn’t want it to bother other people who are experiencing the same thing.
“Getting shamed for what they look like, who they are, who they love, I just think it’s so unfair....I don’t think that anybody deserves less than.”
