Which platforms can I watch the ‘Joker’ movie on and how much does it cost?
Ahead of the release of the ‘Joker’ sequel ‘Joker: Folie À Deux’, find out how to stream the first film.
The sequel to 2019’s Joker, a film that delved into the origin story of the eponymous DC Comics supervillain, is set for release in the United States this week.
Once more directed by Todd Phillips, Joker: Folie À Deux again stars Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck/Joker - a dual role that earned the 49-year-old the Oscar for Best Actor at the 2020 Academy Awards.
Zazie Beetz also returns for Folie À Deux, while Lady Gaga, Brendan Gleeson and Catherine Keener join the cast for the movie, which had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival in early September.
When is Joker: Folie À Deux out in the United States?
Joker: Folie À Deux is due out in US movie theatres on Friday October 4.
Ahead of the release the Joker sequel, you may wish to remind yourself of what happened in the first film - a picture which also scooped the Oscar for Best Original Score and accrued nine further Academy Award nominations.
And if you haven’t yet seen Joker, which distributors Warner Bros. describe as the exploration of a character who is “struggling to find his way in Gotham’s fractured society”, you’ll need to get yourself up to speed before heading to the cinema to take in the new movie.

US viewers can watch Joker on a number of streaming services. Per TV Guide, the movie is available for free to subscribers to TNT, TBS and Max. You can also rent it for $3.99 on Apple TV, Google Play Movies and Fandango At Home.
