What had been a rumor for the past couple of weeks has been confirmed - Oasis will be heading to the United States as an extension of their 2025 tour, with practically all of the European shows sold out in a question of hours.

Due to demand, two extra Wembley dates were added - for 27th and 28th of September 2025. Today, five dates across the Atlantic were confirmed. The 90s indie band have concerts lined up for Los Angeles, Chicago, New Jersey, Toronto and Mexico City.

Oasis announce Britpop invasion 2025

During the mid-90s, Oasis were huge in the UK, Europe and Japan but never really managed to “break America” as they say in rock ‘n’ roll circles. That’s not to say they didn’t, or don’t have any fans in the US, and the group stopped off in the States several times (the Don’t Believe the Truth Tour and the Dig Out Your Soul Tour both took them across North and South America).

The group’s last gig in the US was at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia on 20 December 2008 - the last off 11 dates which included a night at Madison Square Garden.

The Gallagher brothers, self-confessed “Rock n’ Roll geniuses” also have a big following in South America and it looks like they’ll be heading back, to return to some of the cities they have visited before: Lima, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Rio...

When will Oasis play in the United States?

So far just five dates have been announced but more could follow. There have been multiple reports of concerts in the pipeline for South AmericaAsia and Australia. as well as extra US dates, if ticket sales show that demand is there.

New dates in bold

Oasis make their return to North America at the end of August 2025 - a month in which the group will play a total of 10 shows. The first stop-off on the tour is the Rogers Centre, in downtown Toronto - home to MLB franchise the Toronto Blue Jays. Bands that have graced the Rogers Centre stage include: Guns N’ Roses, The Pretenders, the Jonas Brothers, Elton John, the Strokes, Red Hot Chilli Peppers...

From Toronto, the globe-trotting Gallaghers will fly south to Chicago for one show at Soldier Field on 28 August. Three days later, the tour heads to New Jersey, to the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.

The band will remain in the US with two shows announced for the start of September. First at the 90,000-capacity Rose Bowl, Los Angeles on the 6th. Then across the border to Mexico City for a one-off gig at Estadio GNP Seguros (formerly Foro Sol)

Liam and the lads are going to need a good break after that, so we can expect to see dates announced in the fall or run-up to Christmas.

Tickets will go on general sale on Friday 4 October 2024 at 10 a.m. local time and will be available from Ticketmaster. Entry is by private ballot only. Ballot registration is open now and closes 8 a.m. ET tomorrow, Tuesday 1 October.

The good news is that dynamic pricing will not be applied to ticket sales in the US.

Considering the problems many fans encountered trying to buy tickets for the UK shows, it’d be wise to log on early as you may be in a queue...

The band’s last public performance was at the V Festival at Weston Park, South Staffordshire on 22 August 2009 when they played a 16-song set, featuring many of their big hits: Roll with it, Cigarettes & Alcohol, Half The World Away, Wonderwall, Live Forever and return for an encore in which they played three songs, ending with a cover of the Beatles’ I am the Walrus.

It turned out to be the last song that Oasis would perform together as a band. They were due to play at Paris’ Rock en Seine Festival the following week but the gig was cancelled after an alleged punch-up backstage, prompting Noel to quit the band.
