Who got voted off Survivor last night? Here’s who went home on 20 March
March 20th was a day that saw one Survivor tribe granted a sliver of hope before it was snatched away once again. With that, here’s who got voted out.
One has to admit that that last week’s medevac was the break through for Suvivor’s struggling Yanu tribe. Indeed, not only did they gain ground this week, but they actually got their first win. Yet, it was a moment that didn’t last long as one more loss led to the dismissal of one of the season’s biggest personalities.
Who got voted off on Survivor 46?
That would be Bhanu Gopal. The actor/dancer who works as an IT analyst turned heads initially, when he expressed that his intention on the show was not to win a million dollars, but rather to win a million hearts. Gopal backed that up by showing heart and emotion were at the center of all of his decisions in the game.
Ironically, as admirable a quality as that is, it did not serve well where the strategic elements of the game were concerned. With his heart seemingly on his sleeve, Gopal made emotive decisions at every turn, was unable to lie, and ultimately descended into what can be called an emotional rut, securing his position as an outsider on Yanu.
Of course, one could argue there was the “miracle” that he achieved through a last-minute medevac, but it did not last. To that end, Yanu lost their fourth consecutive Immunity Challenge and with that, it was a no-brainer to see Gopal voted off the show. While he took the opportunity to voice his thoughts about his journey from an impoverished childhood in India to the success he experiences today, it doesn’t discount the fact that his approach was never balanced and so, he had to go.
