Who is Gisele Bündchen dating? Get to know her jiu-jitsu trainer boyfriend
A year and a half on from her divorce from Tom Brady, Gisele Bündchen is said to be “happy and enjoying life” with jiu-jitsu pro Joaquim Valente.
Since last summer, Gisele Bündchen has reportedly been in a relationship with jiu-jitsu pro Joaquim Valente - a man who has been described as “perfect” for the supermodel.
How did Gisele meet Valente?
According to People magazine, Bündchen met Valente while taking jiu-jitsu lessons at his academy in Miami Beach, and began dating her fellow Brazilian in June.
“Started out as great friends”
“They’re taking it slow,” a source told People last month. “They started out as great friends first. She’s very private about this and wanted to keep it quiet while they got to know each other.”
The insider added: “They come from similar backgrounds. They both left Brazil very young. They have both created amazing lives for themselves in the US. They both love Miami, but also enjoy traveling. They both enjoy healthy living.
“Gisele’s in a great space. She is happy and very much enjoying life. Joaquim is perfect for her.”
Valente, who has lived in the States since 2007, studied criminology at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida, before opening the Valente Brothers jiu-jitsu school with siblings Pedro and Gui.
Gisele “not looking back”
Snapped sharing a kiss on Valentine’s Day, Valente and Bündchen share a “super-steamy physical attraction”, a source told Life & Style magazine early this month, adding that their chemistry is “off the charts”.
“Gisele’s in love and she’s not looking back,” the source concluded.
Bündchen, 43, was married to NFL great Tom Brady for 13 years, before the couple announced their divorce in October 2022. She has two children with Brady: son Benjamin, 14, and daughter Vivian, 11.
