Who is supporting Taylor Swift on the UK leg of the Eras Tour?
The record breaking Eras Tour reaches the United Kingdom with shows kicking off in Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium.
The Taylor Swift juggernaut shows no signs of letting up as the Eras Tour continues across Europe. Following dates in France, Sweden, Portugal and Spain, the record breaking global show heads to the United Kingdom where the 34-year-old will play ten concerts before heading back to the mainland before wrapping up the European leg with a further five nights at Wembley Stadium in North London.
The Eras Tour is the highest grossing tour of all time, becoming the first to surpass $1 billion dollars in revenue last year and is poised to set new merchandising records too. Taylor is projected to take in another $500 million in merchandise sales alone by the time her round the world jaunt comes to an end in Canada at the start of December.
The singer-songwriter’s shows during her tour of the British Isles will bring in an estimated £1 billion to the economy. Taylor will leave the UK on 1 July for dates in Amsterdam, Zurich , Milan, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Munich, Warsaw and Vienna before returning to London for a second run of shows at Wembley on 15, 16, 17, 19 and 20 August with every show on the tour a complete sell-out.
UK support acts
As has been the case on the European leg of the Eras Tour, rockers Paramore have been opening the show across the continent performing roughly nine tracks per night and generally receiving a warm reaction from the expectant Swift crowd with their show also including a cover version of the Talking Heads classic Burning Down the House.
Paramore, once again will perform at all UK dates but fans attending the three imminent Wembley shows are set to get enjoy extra support acts.
Minnesota born Mette will perform on the first of the three Wembley nights with British singer Griff set to open on the second night before 21 year-old Benson Boone opens the final of the three shows on 23 June with all three artists are expected to glean gathered exposure and airplay as Swiftmania descends on the nation.
The Pennsylvania born singer then packs her bags with the final leg of the mammoth Eras Tour winding up in Canada in November and December.
