CBS’ new game show Flip Side premieres on Monday night in national syndication on stations across the country hosted by Jaleel White.
The 47-year-old Californian actor is best known for his role as nerdy neighbor Steve Urkel in the ABC sitcom Family Matters. He was also hired to provid the voiceover in all of the DiC-produced animated cartoon series: Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic SatAM, and Sonic Underground.
What are the rules of ‘Flip Side’?
Flip Side will challenge two teams of players to anticipate how two different groups of people feel about the same issue through a series of multiple-choice questions. The format features some similar elements to Family Feud - which Jaleel actually appeared on as a contestant with members of his real family. In a nod to Family Feud (and also Card Sharks), the answers to each of the questions are provided by surveys.
Teams compete for a shot at $10,000 by guessing the top answers based on anonymous surveys.
White, famously known for his role in the sitcom Family Matters, has worked as an actor, writer and producer. With much game show experience, White hosted two seasons of Total Blackout, has been a recurring celebrity guest on 25 Words or Less and Pictionary, and set a record for most points scored in the bonus round on Celebrity Family Feud.
Flip Side will air at 5:00 p.m. ET on WLNY in NY, 6:00 p.m. PT on KCAL in LA and 7:00 p.m. ET on WCIU in Chicago. Viewers can find out when and where it airs in their city by checking their local listings and can tune in to bonus airings on Game Show Network beginning Monday, September 16.
