Singer Jennifer Lopez was due to perform several concerts across North American this summer, but her 2024 tour has now been called off.
Amid rumors of marital problems with Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez has cancelled her 2024 concert tour This Is Me... Live, which was due to take place this summer in the United States and Canada.
Why has Lopez cancelled her This is Me... Live tour?
On Friday, Live Nation said in a statement that the tour has been called off because the singer and actor “is taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends.” In a message on her website OntheJLo, Lopez told fans that she is “completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down”.
“Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary,” Lopez said, adding: “I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time…”
The tour, which was scheduled to run from June to August, was announced after the release of her most recent studio album This Is Me... Now, which dropped in February.
According to People magazine, would-be concert-goers who had already purchased their tickets through Ticketmaster will automatically receive a refund. Those who bought tickets through third-party resale sites should contact the point of purchase for more details.

The announcement of the tour cancellation comes as speculation grows that Lopez and Affleck are headed for divorce. Rumours of marital strife arose after the couple were not seen together in public for more than a month. According to several reports, they now live in separate houses.
Last week, Lopez travelled to Mexico to promote her new Netflix movie Atlas - a trip on which Affleck did not accompany her. During a press conference, a journalist asked her directly whether she would confirm the rumours surrounding her marriage, but she refused to answer.
This week, Lopez and Affleck were photographed together attending a school event for the latter’s daughter.
The pair married in Las Vegas in July 2022, having rekindling their romance nearly two decades after their first relationship ended. They originally got together in 2002, but confirmed their separation in early 2004, after calling off a wedding planned for September 2003.
