Ozzy Osbourne has canceled his upcoming tour across Europe and the UK, attributing the cancellation to the 74-year-old’s declining health.

Osbourne has had long-standing back problems, but in 2019 he had an accident that exacerbated his existing issues. He has been living with a damaged spine ever since.

The much-anticipated May tour, with accompanying band Judas Priest, was meant to be the continuation of Osbourne’s tour since the pandemic era. Yet, despite a litany of specialists and treatments, in which recovery has not gone as the rock star planned, the singer officially announced his retirement from live performance.

The ‘Crazy Train’ singer announced on Wednesday that he would no longer be singing and that his touring days are over for good, as he can no longer maintain the physical strength required to keep up with the intense travel schedule.

The former Black Sabbath frontman said in his Twitter post that he now realizes he is “not physically capable” to perform due to the intense travel schedule, and though it pains him to disappoint fans, the show will not go on.

“My one and only purpose during this time has been to get back on stage,” the singer wrote. “My singing voice is fine [...] my body is still physically weak.”

Osbourne then listed precisely to which extent he had sought recovery to no avail.

“Three operations, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy sessions, and most recently groundbreaking Cybernetics (HAL) Treatment.”

Osbourne thanked his fans, his family, the band, and the crew for all their support before he signed off with love.

Ozzy Osbourne known for his antics

The rock n’ roll star has made a huge name not just through his music, but by becoming a notorious character on and off the stage.

Ozzy Osbourne is known for his legendary live performance, crazy antics, wild parties, and his humor.

In his final interview as Black Sabbath frontman, Ozzy admitted that much himself — but also said he is now a changed man.

“When you’re lookin into the eye of the storm, you don’t realize it’s so bad, or know if it’s good or bad.”

Upon being asked if he feels immortal, the rock star responded, “No I feel lucky, not immortal.”

“Because I’ve done some pretty damn crazy stuff in my life now which I don’t anymore,” he explained. “I just I left [it all] behind like five years now.

“I was stoned also every day for a long time I’m beer or boozled I don’t want to do it anymore.”

When asked if there might be a tear when the Prince of Darkness sings ‘Paranoid’ for the last time.

It’s just the Prince of Darkness and God. And there could be, I don’t know.”
