Jamie Foxx has been out of commission for almost a week, and the crew on the set is working hard to come up with options for wrapping the movie.

There are still reportedly eight days of filming to go, with Foxx, who stars in the film with Cameron Diaz, needed on set to finish the production.

Eight more days of footage?

Foxx suffered a medical emergency on Tuesday, and was rushed to the hospital. The actor’s daughter, Corrine Foxx, posted a family update on Wednesday to let fans know Foxx was recovering well.

Though there is great relief Foxx is recovering, it appears his latest movie, ‘Back in Action’, still needs a significant stretch of days yet to film. The producers need eight more days of footage of Foxx in his lead role.

Will the show still go on?

There is much industry speculation as to what will happen with Foxx and Diaz’s ‘Back in Action’ film. They could rewrite the remaining scenes without Foxx’s character, cut scenes entirely, or use a stand-in for Foxx, as the crew reportedly did on Thursday.

TMZ has reported receiving conflicting information regarding the film, with multiple sources confirming the eight-day filming quote yet to be fulfilled, while other production insiders claim the film will be wrapped in a week.

Foxx’s eight more days of shooting was supposed to commence on Tuesday, the day he fell ill with an unknown medical condition.

The film co-stars Cameron Diaz, who has come out of retirement to make the film with Foxx. It was reportedly her ‘Back in Action’ co-star himself that coaxed her back to the set.

Jamie Foxx’s medical emergency

The medical emergency is serious enough to have Foxx’s family fly to Atlanta, where the actor lives, to support him, though the actor is reportedly in good spirits and still has a sense of humor as he jokes with his family members.

Doctors have not determined what the medical condition is, and will continue to administer tests.

Foxx is still in hospital, with his release date uncertain. Neither Foxx’s team nor his family have commented on the actor returning to work.
