Prince Harry was back in court Tuesday, after making a surprise visit to the High Court in London a day earlier to observe the hearings against the Daily Mail publishers, Associated Newspapers Ltd.

Prince Harry informed his family of his visit

Though he has not seen the royal family since Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in September 2022, some are wondering if the prince plans to see his family whilst in the neighborhood.

Prince Harry, whose unexpected appearance made headlines, had reportedly told his father, King Charles, and big brother, Prince William, that he would be in town for the court proceedings.

Time for a family reunion?

Although Harry let them know he would be in the country, the Duke of Sussex isn’t expected to see his family, especially as his brother is away on vacation with Kate Middleton and their three children, Prince George, who is nine, Princess Charlotte, seven years old, and four-year-old Prince Louis, as the children are off from school for spring break.

King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla are set to be in Germany as of Wednesday. The couple were scheduled to leave Sunday, but due to the unrest across France, they canceled that trip and will head straight to Germany instead.

What is the lawsuit about?

The lawsuit is alleging privacy breaches and illegal information gathering at the hands of the Daily Mail publishers, who are arguing for the case to be thrown out. Other claimants include Elton John, Elizabeth Hurley, and six other prominent people.

After the four days of hearing in court, the judge will determine if the case will go to trial.

Prince Harry watched the proceedings closely from the second row on Monday, wearing a dark suit paired with a white shirt and a tie, and taking notes periodically. On Tuesday, he gave the cameras a wave before heading into the High Court.
