It was one of the worst kept secrets but now, Netflix has finally announced that there will be a fourth season of the series ‘Bridgerton’. With a brief 43-second trailer, the platform has already hinted that the protagonist of the fourth installment is going to be Benedict Bridgerton although a precise release date for the screenings has yet to be announced by the streaming giant.

Despite his older and younger brothers being happily married, Benedict is reluctant to settle down until he meets a captivating ‘Lady in Silver’ at his mother’s masquerade ball,” Netflix summarized the fourth instalment in an earlier tweet/X post that already reached almost half a million views in just one hour.

Executive producer Shonda Rhimes appreciates Benedict’s ability adding, “he’s a charming man who’s trying to find his way,” she tells Tudum. “He’s very delightful and funny. I’m excited for everybody to watch him.”

The new season will have eight chapters and, although Netflix has shown great haste in feeding the passion of fans of the show, the fiction is not expected to premiere before 2026. The third instalment of the period drama was released on 13 June of this year.
