Will there be an ‘Inside Out 3′?
Inside Out 2 continues to break box office records, and has become the first and only animated movie to surpass $1 billion at the international market.
“Inside Out 2,” Disney/Pixar’s latest big hit, is currently the highest-grossing film of 2024 with $1.65 billion earned worldwide. That’s more than $400 million ahead of the second-place finisher, “Deadpool & Wolverine” of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
“Inside Out 2″ grossed over $1 billion overseas, the only animated film ever to break that milestone, proof of its global appeal. It also overtook “Frozen 2″ as the highest-earning animated movie in history.
As the film shatters box office records left and right, fans of the movie can’t help but wonder if another sequel is in the works.

Will there be an ‘Inside Out 3′?
Disney has not yet officially confirmed that another sequel is in the works. However, there are indications they are moving forward with the project, though they are not yet near the production stage.
Pixar’s Chief Creative Officer Peter Docter says that the studio is already “thinking of ideas” for the next installment of the movie.
In an interview with Fandango, Docter said “If we were gonna do something, what would it be?“ This is the closest the company has gotten to saying they are making plans for the next film. The Pixar executive said, “There’s gotta be something... well, who knows?”
With “Inside Out 2″ resonating with millions of fans and bringing in hundreds of millions at the box office, there would be much pressure on Disney/Pixar from fans to continue telling Riley’s story.

‘Inside Out 2’ enters list of top 10 highest-grossing films
The movie’s box office total is amazing in itself, but it becomes even more impressive considering the speed with which it racked it up. In just a matter of a few months, “Inside Out 2″ has already joined the list of the top 10 highest-earning movies in history.
