The Social Security Administration average salary index in the US in 2021 was $60,000, and if you want to earn a wage that is way above this number, you could look into certain fields where there are many jobs that offer a six-figure income.

Ladders is a job search platform, and it recently did research that found that two industries are hiring for these kinds of jobs. So if you’re looking for work with strong prospects that pays $100,000 or more, you could try to seek employment in the technology or healthcare industry. You may understandably be wary of shifting careers, but people who job-hop have been known to increase their salaries at a much faster rate than those who simply stay put in the same job.

The nice thing about working in these two high-paying industries is that you don’t need to have many years of work experience or a specialized degree to look for a job.

“Today, recent computer science graduates with bachelor’s degrees earn $100,000 to start,” said Ladders founder Mark Cenedella.

According to Ladders, this may indicate that companies do not have enough staff and that has caused the increase in salaries for the 10 most sought-after jobs in the United States.

Many of these jobs are offering remote and hybrid opportunities. According to the report, software engineers and project managers are among the top remote jobs offering a six-figure salary.
