The Michelin Guide has just released its list of California restaurants which they have rated with stars, and there are 18 new restaurants that have joined the distinguished list.
Despite the large number of new additions, the total number of starred restaurants has only increased from 85 last year to 89 this year, as some places lost their ranking.
Michelin added Addison in San Diego to its highly exclusive list of three-star restaurants, which now totals seven. The restaurant, the first in Southern California to receive the honor, calls its type of food “California gastronomy”.
