Dems have flipped two governorships; more votes need to be counted to determine which party will control the House and Senate.
Voting is over, and the results are beginning to show a much more mixed picture than that painted by the polls.
We will be updating this article as more results are released.

Update on Gubinatorial Races in Swing States
There are forty-two governor races in the 2022 midterm elections, which could mean major changes for state politics in the coming months.
Voters in Maryland and Massachusetts have flipped, with Democrats garnering more support than Republicans.
In Arizona, Katie Hobbs leads Trump-backed Kari Lake, who has already begun to raise doubts about the legitimacy of the election.
Kansas voters look likely to re-elect governors Laura Kelly and Gretchen Whitmer, respectively.
Democrats lead in Nevada and Oregon, but the races remain too close to call.
In Michigan, New Mexico, and Wisconsin, Democrats Gretchen Whitmer, Michelle Lujan Grisham and Tony Evers have won their re-election campaigns.
Senate
Current polls show Republicans have higher chances of taking control of the Senate, but with many races within the margin of error, there could be room for Democrats to sneak out a majority.
Democrats have managed to hold on to all of their Senate seats so far this evening, even picking up Republican Pat Toomey’s seat in Pennsylvania. Republicans are performing well, and there is still room for them to pull out a majority in the US Senate.
Arizona, Georgia, and Nevada have yet to be called and will likely determine which party takes control Congress’ upper chamber in January.

Republicans are putting up strong numbers and could take control of the House of Representatives. 218 wins are needed to control the legislative body.
