A second grader’s school assignment took an unexpectedly dark turn when made a strange prediction on his “All About Me” worksheet.

8-year-old blows parents’ minds and Reddit users when asked about his future
Many people long for the optimism of their youth, the care-free imagination of a child. But one second-grader has gone viral on Reddit for his less-than positive vision of his own future.
The child was filling out a fairly typical “All About Me” worksheet which covered favorite color (blue), favorite food (orange chicken) and favorite film (Minecraft). But the answer to ‘When I grow up’ was less typical.
“I will get hit by a bus,” the 8-year-old wrote under that prompt, ending the assignment on a decidedly dark note.

His parents shared the work on Reddit and it was shared fair and wide by the online community. As of June 3, the post had received more than 24,000 up-votes and attracted 495 comments.
The parents have ensured that the family remains anonymous but they have spoken to Newsweek about the striking comment.
“When we first read it, we weren’t sure what to think—we still don’t know what to think,” they said. “Our kid has some extremely unique questions and remarks. We were just as shocked as probably everyone else who read it.”
They added that he’s actually got a keen interest in music, which he has inherit from his parents.
“My son and I listen to tons of old-school music, especially hip hop,” the mother explained. “He likes the sound of bass and is amazed that I know the words to all the songs. I turn up the music in the car and we break it down.”
