A new Costco near you? Here are the stores opening in early 2025: List of locations
Costco will be opening more branches early this year, with the warehouse club expanding its operations in four states. Here are the new locations.
Costco will be expanding its operations in the United States early this year. With more than 600 branches throughout the country, the company is the largest club-type retailer in the U.S.
Worldwide, the membership club has 130 million clients and more than 800 stores, making it one of the retail giants globally.
By fiscal year 2025, the store plans to open 29 new locations worldwide, with the goal of surpassing 900 stores around the world.
Of these new branches, 26 will be completely new buildings, while the other three will be relocations: 19 will be in the United States and 10 will be outside of the country.

Costco to cater to more clients in Texas and California
The first six stores are scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2025. According to Costco CEO Ron Vachris, two of them will be located in Texas and two others in California, one more will open in Michigan and the last in Massachusetts. These are the new locations:
- Brentwood, California
- Genesee County, Michigan
- Highland, California
- Prosper, Texas (March 14)
- Sharon, Massachusetts (March 1)
- Weatherford, Texas (March 15)
The Sharon branch will open on March 1, while the Prosper and Weatherford branches will open on March 14 and 15, respectively.
The new stores in California and Michigan do not have an opening date yet, but both will open before the end of the first quarter of the year.

This is what a Costco membership costs
The company raised its rates late last year for the first time since 2017.
The cost of a Gold Star, Business and additional Business cards membership is now $65 per year, while Executive membership customers pay $130 annually.
