Burger King celebrates 70th anniversary: How to get free burgers and other deals

Burger lovers had a field day with all the deals that came around on National Hamburger Day. Though that celebration is over, they still have reason to indulge in their favorite sandwich: Burger King’s 70th anniversary.

The fast food chain is offering deals through Monday, June 3 to all members of their Royal Perks loyalty program. If you’re not a member yet, all you have to do is sign up for free.

There’s a different freebie per day, which you will receive with any purchase of $0.70- the price referencing the restaurant’s 70th birthday.

Head on over to Burger King on Thursday, May 30, and you receive a free medium soft drink for any purchase of $0.70 or more.

On Friday, May 31, you can score a free flame-grilled cheeseburger for a minimum purchase of $0.70.

Saturday, June 1, is the big day, as Burger King officially celebrates its 70th birthday. In honor of the restaurant’s special day, customers will receive a free limited edition Birthday Pie Slice with a purchase of $0.70 or more.

Burger King’s new dessert: Birthday Pie Slice

The festive dessert is a creation made of creamy birthday cake-flavored pie-filling on a cookie crumb crust. As a finishing touch, it features rainbow-colored sprinkles, cake bites, and whipped cream topping. (Birthday candle not included.)

The celebration continues on Sunday, June 2, when Royal Perks members get a free Original Crispy Chicken Sandwich with a minimum purchase of, you guessed it, $0.70.

Burger King wraps up the festivities on Monday, June 3, when customers are given a free Whopper Jr. with the same minimum purchase.
