On Monday night, Californians were alerted to a 3.5-magnitude earthquake. While earthquakes are not uncommon in California, this relatively minor tremor managed to catch the attention of many, especially in the city of Anaheim and nearby Fullerton.

There have been two earthquakes of a 3.0 magnitude or greater in the last 10 days.

Areas affected by the earthquake

The earthquake occurred less than a mile from Anaheim, one mile from Placentia, two miles from Brea and two miles from La Habra.

Rides were closed at Disneyland for a safety inspection afterwards.

Damage is very unlikely but guests will be inconvenienced while rides are inspected,” Disneyland news outlet MiceChat reported.
