After not registering a winner since July, the accumulated Powerball purse amounts to $1.55 billion, the third highest jackpot in lottery history.

The winner has two ways to collect the prize: a one-time cash payment, or one much smaller payment, followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5% each year to account for inflation. If the first option is chosen, the winner will only be able to collect $679.8 million due to the payment of taxes.

While the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292,201,338.00, there is still that extremely slim chance that your numbers will be drawn. In case luck is on your side and you manage to hit all the numbers plus the red ball, there are certain states that allow you to collect the prize anonymously for security reasons.
