Costco to open 4 new stores this August 2025: Here are the locations

In the coming month, the global wholesale retailer Costco will open several stores, including four in the United States.

The opening dates for new locations in The Villages, Florida (August 6, 2025), and Allen, Texas (August 8, 2025), have been confirmed, while those for the new stores in Richland, Washington, and Spring Valley, Nevada, have not yet been announced.

The company reported $26.44 billion in net sales in June, an 8 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024—a sign that consumer demand remains strong.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics recorded a 0.3 percent increase in average prices, as economists warn that the impact of tariffs could soon be felt by shoppers. In response to the news on tariffs, Business Insider reported that Costco’s CEO told investors they are looking to increase sourcing from domestic manufacturing.

“We’re watching pricing daily, if not hourly, on every key commodity,” Vachris said during the quarterly earnings meeting, reassuring stakeholders that company leaders are closely monitoring the impact of tariffs.

How many Costco locations are there in the US?

In the U.S. alone, there are more than 624 locations—a figure that has grown significantly since 1993, when the company merged with Price Club and had a physical presence totaling 206 stores. Today, Costco owns more than 800 locations worldwide, highlighting how, over time, its U.S. business has become a smaller portion of the company’s overall portfolio. In addition to the United States, Costco can be found in Australia, Canada, China, France, Iceland, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom.
