The Social Security Administration continues to send out payments to their beneficiaries this month. Find out who will receive their benefits on August 3.
Each month, the Social Security Administration distributes various benefits. Monthly payments are sent to workers, retirees, and survivors, as well as to people with disability. Some of the beneficiaries fall under the Supplemental Security Income program or Social Security Disability Insurance.

Direct payments of $1,800 from Social Security on August 3: who will receive it?
SSA has established a schedule for sending payments. Generally, Supplemental Security Income benefits are sent on the first day of each month. However, if the first day of the month falls on a Saturday or Sunday, payment is advanced to the last Friday of the previous month.
Meanwhile, on the 3rd of each month, SSA sends money to beneficiaries who began receiving their monthly payments before May 1997. If the third day of the month falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the payment is also advanced.

Payments are sent via direct deposit to those who have provided a bank account to SSA or via regular mail, which may take more days to arrive.

Taking into account the previous schedule, the SSA sent SSI benefits on August 1. The rest of the payments are sent as follows.
Social Security: How much money is sent each month?
This year, average retiree payments increased to $1,827, the SSA revealed in January. The maximum benefit for those retiring at 62 is $2,572 a month, $3,627 for workers retiring at full retirement age (67) and $4,555 for those retiring at or after age 70.
Average Supplemental Security Income payments, on the other hand, are around $550 per month. The maximum monthly SSI benefit is up to $914 for one person and $1,371 for a married couple where both spouses are eligible for the program.
