Do you need to have an Amazon Prime account for Prime Day? Do Prime Video members qualify?
It should come as no surprise that an event with the name ‘Prime Day’ be for Amazon Prime members.

Amazon Prime Day (days?) begins today October 11. Running until October 12, Prime members will be able to access discounts on dozens of products on the Amazon website. The deals are only available to Prime members though the products are still available at their usual price for non-members.
The clue is sort of in the name of ‘Prime Day’, really.
As Prime Video comes with a Prime membership then yes, you will be able to qualify. This is true unless you have a Video-only member.
For people looking at getting an Amazon Prime membership this October, the price went up in February. For customers that want to pay monthly it will cost you $14.99 per month for a total of $180 per year. If you pay the full year at one go the price is $139. Students get a discounted rate, $7.49 per month or $69 per year.
Though it may appear that the number of deals is high, be aware that prices for many products may be cheaper at another time of the year. One of the biggest anti-union companies in the world, workers took their opportunities since the covid-19 pandemic to begin its unionisation.
