Evacuation order due to Thompson Fire in California: Which areas need to be evacuated?
The Butte County Fire Department has issued new evacuation orders as the Thompson Fire north of Oroville along the Feather River continues to spread.
The Butte County Fire Department has issued new evacuation orders as the Thompson Fire north of Oroville continues to spread. According to Cal Fire, the vegetation fire has burned 245 acres so far primarily on the north side of the Feather River.
Evacuation orders have been issued for the following zones:
Zones now include 532 thru 534 to 536, 700-716, 726, 727, 730, 731, 800, 851, 953, 954, 958, 959, 960 and 965 north of hwy 162.
Evacuation warnings have been issued for the following zones:
Zones 531, 726, 727, 801, 802, 804 through 811, 816, 964 and 965 South of Hwy 162.
An evacuation shelter has been set up at Oroville Church of the Nazarene located at 2238 Monte Vista Ave., Oroville.
