The family was caught off guard by a generous gesture from one of the agents, who personally delivered their meal straight to the plane.

Family buys food for their flight, is forced to leave after receiving a notice from the airline: The outcome is one to remember
Air travel isn’t always easy for everyone. On longer flights, bringing a small snack or grabbing a bite at the airport can be a good way to curb hunger and make the journey more comfortable.
That’s exactly what one family had in mind before finding themselves in a situation they later shared on Reddit. The user Miscellaneousthinker described their experience on a Frontier Airlines flight from Cancún to Miami, where a woman was traveling with her husband, young child, and parents.
Boarding call confusion
The flight was scheduled to depart at 2:31 p.m. with boarding set for 1:46 p.m. Just moments before the final boarding call, the family decided to make a quick stop at a duty-free shop. This prompted a panic when the elderly family member overheard an agent at the gate insist that the doors were about to close.
The group rushed to the gate, only to be informed by another agent that they still had until 2:16 p.m. to board. Relieved, they opted to swing by Johnny Rockets to grab burgers and fries—a meal that ended up costing them $85.
Their plans quickly unraveled when the husband called to say that yet another agent was urgently warning that they needed to get to the gate immediately before it closed. Not wanting to risk missing the flight, they abandoned their order and sprinted back. “Forget it, I’m not missing this flight. I’m leaving the food behind and heading to the gate before I even hang up,” the passenger recounted.
Frustrated by the conflicting information, the woman later reflected on the situation: “I figure either a) the first guy was wrong and the doors actually closed at 2:11 p.m. or b) there’s one specific gate agent who, for some reason, keeps rushing people aggressively, creating issues for the other agents—one of whom was actually quite polite.”
“Honestly, I’m irritated by all this back-and-forth. We could have had our food and made it on time if it weren’t for the unnecessary pressure. But at this point, it’s too late to go back and get the order,” she added.
Abandoned meal
Left with an abandoned meal, she posted online that she had spent $85 on food and encouraged anyone nearby to take it. “Someone should enjoy it,” she wrote.
Then, in a twist no one saw coming, the flight was delayed by over an hour due to a maintenance issue with one of the bathrooms.
Amid the uncertainty, an airline agent stepped onto the plane carrying a bag filled with Johnny Rockets burgers and fries. “I never expected something like this from any airline. The sheer kindness and humanity of this agent going out of their way was nothing short of incredible,” the passenger shared.
