Foo Fighters: Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert KIA Forum

The second tribute concert for Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins will take place 27 September at the KIA Forum in Los Angeles .

How to stream Foo Fighters: Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert

The Foo fighters received a gut punch in March when the megaplatinum group’s longtime drummer Taylor Hawkins died while the band was on tour. The Foo Fighters canceled the rest of their tour to take “time to grieve, to heal, to pull our loved ones close, and to appreciate all the memories we’ve made together,” they wrote in a statement.

“The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins,” a statement from the band said after his death, “His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever. Our hearts go out to his wife, children and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginably difficult time.”

Two show tribute concert to Taylor Hawkins

Now, the band is making their return with a host of others in a two-date tribute performance to their late star.

The first stage of the tribute concert took place in Wembley Stadium in London 3 September. It featured perfomances from a number of acts like Liam Gallagher, Brian May, Nile Rodgers, and Mark Ronson, as well as Foo Fighters themselves.

The second tribute concert will take place 27 September at the KIA Forum in Los Angeles with the music starting at 7pm PT. There will be some repeat performers from the Wembley concert including Joshua Homme of Queens of the Stone Age, Mark Ronson and Kesha. The Foo Fighters will also be joined on Tuesday night with performances from Alanis Morissette, Danny Carey of Tool, Joan Jett, Miley Cyrus and Tommy Lee.

Correction: Our previous version of this event stated that the concert in Los Angeles would be livestreamed on Paramount+ and MTV, as was the case in London on Sep. 3 and as was reported on social media and other media outlets. Unfortunately for all Foo Fighter fans, it appears the concert will not have a livestream broadcast.
