Brake failure issue detected in Ford vehicles
This latest recall concerns cars and trucks which could experience braking issues, increasing the risk of a collision. The agency warned that the Electronic Brake Booster (EBB) module has a tendency to fail while driving or using the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) feature, causing a loss of power brake assist.
The impacted models are: the Lincoln Navigator, F-150 truck, Expedition, Bronco and Ranger.
Earlier this year, Ford ordered a recall of nearly 1.1 million vehicles across the US due to a software malfunction that could cause rearview cameras to freeze, lag, or fail to display entirely, posing a serious safety risk.
