Former President Bill Clinton, 78, has been admitted to Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C., where he remains hospitalized after developing a fever, according to Angel Ureña, Clinton’s former deputy chief of staff.

According to Ureña, the former president remains under observation and did not categorize the event as an emergency. Clinton is receiving medical attention and undergoing various precautionary tests after presenting with a fever on Monday, December 23.

Bill Clinton in “good spirits” after hospitalization

The former Democratic president was described as “alert” and in “high spirits.” He is anticipated to be released soon, allowing him to celebrate Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with his family at home.

“He remains in good spirits and is deeply grateful for the excellent care he is receiving,” Ureña wrote in a brief statement issued via social media.

Bill Clinton’s health status

As the source said, the former president is doing well and is awaiting discharge. However, in recent years, his medical history has not remained intact.

In 2004, he underwent a quadruple bypass at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, where he also underwent a heart procedure in 2010. In 2021, he spent six days hospitalized in California for a urological infection that spread to his bloodstream, records show.
